How to Train Your Users with Group Mode

For a walk-through video of this process, please click here

Whether you have limited computer access or a limited amount of time to train, the group mode feature is designed to allow training multiple learners at once. In group mode, instructors are able to play through the course material, as well as print tests and answer keys for the learners attending the training.

To utilize the group mode feature, you will first need to create a session for the course you are presenting and enroll the learners that will be attending. For instructions on how to create and manage a session for offline training, please click here.

Once you have created your session, you will click on the blue "Code" name for the session you have created.

This will take you to the information screen regarding the session. Here, you are able to edit the session information, mark learners as attended, as well as access the group mode features.

On the right side of the screen, under "Classroom Training," you will see three options: Launch Course, Print Test, and Print Answer Key.

Clicking the green "Launch Course" button will open a new tab, where the course will play. Unlike individual training, the questions will no longer appear within the course; instead, administrators have the option to print tests and answer keys for the learners that attend the training.

Clicking the blue "Print Test" or "Print Answer Key" buttons will open a new tab. The test or answer key will populate, as appropriate, and prompt the administrator to print.

Once the administrator has graded the completed tests, you are able to mark those with passing grades as having completed the training. To mark a learner as complete, please go to the "Sessions" tab and click the blue Code name for the session they have just completed.

At the bottom of the Session information page, you will see an information grid listing the learners who were enrolled in training. To mark them as attended, please check the box to the left of their name, and then select the green "Mark as Attended" button on the upper right of the table.

This will generate a pop-up to confirm the change in enrollment status. Marking your learners as attended will show this session as "Complete" in their training tab as well as on the Reports tab.

Please verify that the number of "Selections Made" matches the number of learners you would like to mark as complete. Then, you may enter the date the learner attended the session.

Please note: To be enrolled in a group training session, the learner must also be enrolled in the course. The course will then populate in their "My Training" tab, which could lead to learners completing the course before the group training occurs.
